We confess that we only love God because he first loved us. We are called out by God to be his people so that we can be a blessing to others. Those still in the world need to hear about the love of God manifested in Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection so they too might believe, repent, and be saved. We love the world, those made in the image of God who persist in their rebellion against him, by proclaiming the gospel to them. We can clothe, feed, and counsel them, but the primary duty of the church is to tell them of the only hope they have for salvation. We love the world by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
